As these are guaranteed entries (versus lottery, Wanda Age Group, etc), the 2027 Lima42K will not refund, defer or allow for a cancellation under any circumstance. Purchasing applicable insurance (see below) and cancelling for an insurable reason will prevent you from losing your deposit and payments and will cover these fees as well.
Fee Schedule
If you cancel and we can resell your package, the following fees will apply:
15% of what you have paid if cancelling 120 days or more prior to registration closing
25% of what you have paid if cancelling between 14 and 119 days prior to registration closing
50% of what you have paid if cancelling 13 days or les prior to registration closing
100% of what you have paid if cancelling after registration has closed or at any time if we are unable to resell your package.

The difference between what you paid and the fee listed above will be held as a credit for you for 24 months from the time you made your last payment for this particular package. Credits may only be used for trips/packages listed on our website.

Why We Charge Fees
We purchase guaranteed 2027 Lima42K entries in advance at significant cost, and they are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a participant cancels, we must find a replacement, process the transfer, pay applicable change and banking fees, and dedicate staff time to re-advertise and re-register the entry. As a result, a cancellation fee is required to offset these costs.
Purchasing applicable insurance (see below) and cancelling for an insurable reason will prevent you from losing your deposit.

With paid insurance, you may submit a claim for eligible insurable reasons, including running injuries while training! Claims require a doctor's letter and supporting documentation and are subject to review and approval by the insurance provider's evaluator. For even greater flexibility, you may be able to purchase Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage with select policies. To qualify, CFAR coverage generally must be purchased within 72 hours of making your initial trip deposit and is subject to the insurer's eligibility requirements and terms.
Note: Many credit cards often provide limited trip cancellation coverage and may not be sufficient for the full cost of your trip or your reason.

The four included nights are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. You may choose to stay longer, just check with us for adding additional nights.

We have a strict contract with the TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS which includes a specific hotel, meaning you are unable to choose another hotel for those 4 nights.

Although transfers are not included as all of our clients are arriving at different times, you can take the AirportLink train from the Sydney airport to the hotel in about 20 minutes.

Runners must pick up their own bib and no one, including family members or Dream Travel staff members, are permitted to pick up your bib on your behalf. That said, it is highly recommended that you fly in earlier rather than later in case of flight delays or cancellations.

This really depends on when you cancel and whether or not you purchased the correct insurance. If you purchased insurance and are cancelling for an included reason, or you purchased the CFAR insurance, then you can cancel at any time but you must let us know as soon as you need to cancel. If you did not purchase insurance, then it’ll depend on when you cancel and if we can resell your package. Contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do everything we can to assist you!
